Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi kerja baik motivasi intrinsik maupun motivasi ekstrinsik terhadap kinerja karyawan di Swiss-Belinn Hotel Tunjungan, Surabaya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksplanatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan Swiss-Belinn Hotel Tunjungan yaitu sebanyak 78 orang karyawan tetap. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu probability sampling dengan menggunakan perhitungan Slovin, sehingga ditetapkan sampel berjumlah sebanyak 65 orang. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan melakukan uji variabel secara simultan dan parsial. Proses pengolahan data dengan menggunakan program SPSS 16.0 for Windows.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik berkorelasi positif dan signifikan baik secara parsial maupun simultan terhadap kinerja karyawan Hotel Swiss-Belinn Tunjungan Surabaya.

 

ABSTRACT

            The objective of this research is to determine whether significant relationship occurred between work motivation and employee performance in Swiss-Belinn Hotel Tunjungan, Surabaya. The research type used is explanative research with quantitative approach. The population of this research numbered 78 people that are the permanent employees of Swiss-Belinn Hotel Tunjungan. Probability sampling is used to determine the number of sample. Sample of 65 people are defined by Slovin’s Formula. Data analysis technique used in this research is the multiple linear regression analysis with partial and simultaneous variable testing. Data was processed using SPSS 16.0 for Windows.

            The result implies that both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation correlate positively and significantly to employee performance. The correlation resulted from this research also shows that both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation correlate partially and simultaneously to employee performance.
