Abstract


Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas tentang perbedaan motivasi bekerja di departemen Housekeeping pada kedua kelompok generasi milenial yang sudah berpengalaman magang (experienced) dan belum berpengalaman magang (inexperienced). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian komparatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan 100 mahasiswa experienced (angkatan 2014 dan 2015) dan 100 mahasiswa inexperienced (angkatan 2016) pada program Manajemen Perhotelan di Universitas Kristen Petra Surabaya sebagai responden. Hasil yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada motivasi bekerja di departemen Housekeeping di antara kedua kelompok, kelompok inexperienced memiliki motivasi lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelompok experienced, dan kedua kelompok memiliki motivasi yang cukup untuk terhadap pekerjaan di departemen Housekeeping.

Abstract: This study discusses the working motivation differences in Housekeeping departement between experienced group who already took internship and inexperienced group who haven’t take internship. This research is a comparative research which uses quantitative approach. This research involves 100 experienced scholars (batch 2014 and 2015) and 100 inexperienced scholars (batch 2016) in Hospitality Management program at Petra Christian Universities Surabaya as a respondent. The results obtained from this research shows that there’s significant differences of working motivation in Housekeeping departement between the two groups, the inexperienced group has higher motivation than the experienced group, and the two groups have enough motivation towards Housekeeping departments job.
