Abstract

This research was conducted at PT. X, a food packaging factory. The study
aims to design a HIRADC for the workshop. The workshop is responsible for repairing and preparing molds for production, receiving new molds and spare parts, and maintaining the cleanliness of the workshop. It was found that the workshop department had the highest number of workplace accidents, with 5 cases requiring workers to be taken to the hospital in 2021-2023. In carrying out this research, every process and main task on the workshop floor was analyzed to identify potential hazards. After identification, a risk assessment was conducted to determine the risk level of each hazard. Identification and assessment were carried out based on interviews with workers in the workshop department. Recommendations will be reviewed based on the controls previously implemented, followed by proposals for future controls. HIRADC showed at least 78% of all potential hazards fell into the categories of moderate, substantial, and unacceptable. After reviewing the controls that have been implemented, proposals were made to reduce existing potential hazards. It is estimated that after these proposals, every potential hazard on the workshop floor will fall 100% into the categories of trivial and acceptable.
