Abstract


Abstrak : Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pria dan wanita dalam motivasi pemberian tip kepada karyawan hotel di Jember. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan komparatif dan menggunakan metode Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) yang diuji dengan program SPSS. Dalam penelitian yang dilakukan, ditemukan 5 faktor baru yang mempengaruhi pemberian tip kepada karyawan hotel di Jember, yaitu kualitas layanan, pengakuan sosial, empati pelanggan, gender karyawan, dan metode pembayaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam faktor pemberian tip dilihat dari gender pelanggan hotel di Jember.

Abstract : This research was conducted with the aim of finding out the differences between men and women in motivating tips for hotel employees in Jember. This type of research is quantitative with a comparative approach and uses the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) method which is tested with the SPSS program. In the research conducted, found 5 new factors that influence the giving of tips to hotel employees in Jember, namely service quality, social recognition, customer empathy, employee gender, and payment methods. The results showed that there were significant differences in tipping factors seen from the gender of hotel customers in Jember.
