Abstract


This Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) research focuses on risk
assessment and mitigation strategies in the tempe production process to prevent work accidents and improve work safety and control. This thesis also highlights that companies still experience work accidents and do not yet have OSH system as a basis for safety in the work environment. By using the "5 Whys" method and Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Determining Control (HIRADC) to identify the root causes of risk, the level of risk that can occur and how to control it such as equipment damage and physical hazards, leading to a final risk rating that can have an impact both light and heavy on the performance of workers in the company. The final result of this research is that the company received several solutions that can be accepted or implemented to improve security and safety in the work environment and minimize the occurrence of work accidents.
