Abstract

PT X is experiencing issues such as high machine failure frequency, extended
downtime, unbalanced activities in the maintenance department, and other operational problems. Therefore, the company has decided to adopt the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) approach as an effort to resolve these issues. To begin TPM implementation, preparation from all relevant parties is required. This research aims to assess the company's readiness to implement TPM. The study designs a TPM implementation module that contains the steps for the eight pillars of TPM. Each step is evaluated to determine the current level of the company's implementation, and supporting files are created as tools for implementation. Additionally, to prepare the company for the initial implementation phase, awareness sessions are conducted with relevant stakeholders within the company. The research concludes with positive responses from the stakeholders, who agreed to the proposed steps and expressed their intention to implement them in the future. This ensures a comprehensive understanding and readiness for the TPM journey.
