Abstract


This research designs an integrated system for production scheduling and raw
material purchasing at PT Surya Dermato Medica using Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Material Requirement Planning (MRP). The MPS is based on safety stock and stock simulation to handle demand fluctuation. The MRP, using Lot-For-Lot (L4L) method, aligns raw material purchases with production needs, reducing inventory costs by an average of 71%. Improvements are proposed for lead-time calculations, considering both internal and external factors, including purchases order processing, supplier fulfillment, and quality control. A dashboard supports annual planning, monthly and daily production scheduling, and raw material purchasing schedules. With the integration of the MPS and MRP systems and the updated lead time calculations, the company is expected to achieve optimal production planning and inventory control, minimizing both stockouts and overstock situations.
