Abstract

CV. Surabaya Trading & Co is a company engaged in wood processing. Currently, the company operates without having a policy regarding Occupational Safety and Health (K3). Companies want to be able to minimize potential dangers that might occur. Therefore, it was carried out using the HIRARC method or Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control by conducting direct field observations and interviews with the company. The company does not yet have an K3 policy and the implementation of K3 is only limited to the use of masks and placing K3 posters in several places. In the current condition percentage there is a low category of 0%, Medium 13%, High 73%, Extreme 14%. After the proposed improvements, such as using respirator masks, safety goggles glass, impact resistant & vibration resistant gloves, safety helmets, safety shoes, making special lanes for forklifts, and safe limits for cutting machines, there was a reduction in the severity level from the low potential hazard category to 35 %, medium 58%, high 7%, and extreme 0%
