Abstract

PT. Intidaya Dinamika Sejati is a company that distributes Becker vacuum pumps and Pedrogil Roots Blower products. Furthermore, the company is engaged in several other service sectors, including rewinding, industrial repair, automotive, electrical panel, and manufacturing production.This research focuses on finding the cause of delays in providing materials and making improvements to speed up the arrival of materials. Each stage has various jobs, including service, warranty, and fabrication. However, a problem was found at the stage delay. They are divided into three task services for 14,04 days or with a 94% delay rate, warranty for 31,43 days or a 64% delay rate, and fabrication for 14 days or with a 100% delay rate. Thus, an analysis process using the five whys method was required to reveal the causes of the delays and the material supply process. Several improvements can be suggested: additional vehicles, provision of materials focusing on the materials ordered, and additional manpower to collect other materials. Companies must pay attention to every process of providing material because every process, from sales orders to receiving items, is delayed
