Abstract

Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan pembelajaran kecerdasan emosional (EQ) pada mahasiswa baru. EQ meliputi kemampuan seseorang memahami dan mengendalikan emosi dalam dirinya serta kemampuan memahami dan mempengaruhi emosi orang lain. Bukti kekurangan EQ pada mahasiswa adalah munculnya tingkat stress dan depresi berlebihan yang mengakibatkan kasus negatif seperti putus kuliah dan bunuh diri. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan media bagi mahasiswa baru untuk melatih EQ dalam masa peralihan ini sebelum terlambat. Perancangan media pembelajaran dalam bentuk video game visual novel ditujukan untuk menarik perhatian mahasiswa baru dalam bentuk hiburan yang lebih santai. Dengan visual novel yang merupakan video game berbasis narasi, media ini cocok dalam memberikan pelatihan dalam menghadapi masalah sehari-hari yang membutuhkan EQ.
