Analisis Peningkatan Kualias Proses dengan Six Sigma (Studi Kasus pada PT. Indo Furnitama Raya)

Abstract
Dalam upaya meningkatkan pangsa pasar ekspor untuk produk plywood 2,7mm grade UTY, PT. IFURA mengalami kendala karena tingginya produk plywood untuk grade UTY-1 yang merupakan hasil downgrade dari grade UTY karena adanya cacat pada produk akhir sehingga tidak memenuhi standar untuk dapat diekspor. Metode perbaikan dan peningkatan kualitas yang di gunakan adalah metode Six sigma melalui tahapan DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control). Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa untuk proses produksi di mesin glue spreader diperoleh nilai sigma sebesar 2,23 dengan nilai DPMO sebesar 232768,7 dan untuk proses produksi di mesin hot press diperoleh nilai sigma sebesar 3,41 dengan nilai DPMO sebesar 28134,74. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan pada lantai produksi di temukan empat jenis cacat yang paling sering terjadi yaitu cacat core hole, core lap, press mark, dan noda/flek. Usulan perbaikan yang dapat di berikan kepada PT. IFURA untuk peningkatan kualitas adalah mengubah paradigma sistem inspeksi menjadi “Build in Quality”, membuat sistem reward untuk meningkatkan kinerja operator, menciptakan budaya kualitas melalui komunikasi dan komitmen, dan mengabungkan sistem perawatan proaktif, preventif, dan korektif.
