Community Outreach Program at Begagan Limo village- District of Gondang, Mojokerto

Abstract

Begagan Sub-village has a lot of potential especially natural resources for being tourism destination in Mojokerto. It is located near Akar Seribu so it attracks visitors to visit the sub-village. There is also a freshing river near the coffee shop so visitors can take a rest there after they visit Akar Seribu. Community Outreach Program has vision: to provide services and develop the tourism potential like build some of public facilities and also provide a workshop for the villagers. That is what we have done.

We already build a gazebo, a simple stone bridge across the river, a trash bank, two photo spots, a mini garden, and also seven sign boards for reminding the visitors to throw the trash in the right place. Besides the physical program, we also gave the children english course, creative class, and some lessons how to take care of their health, so we hope the children can get their basic skills in purpose to make a clean, healthy, and creative tourism village. We also held an english workshop for the villagers to prepare the villagers welcoming a foreigner visitors.
