Increasing   intellectual   of   a   marginal   community   through   service   learning   about   motor maintenance is one of the main challenges for teachers of higher education. Students could understand the subject by learning and practicing in the directly community, thereby affecting the competence development. The method of measuring student achievement is done by completing a questionnaire consisting of interpersonal, system-thinking, anticipation and basic competence. The benefits gained in the community one of them is skilled to maintain the vehicle independently, opened an automotive workshop and others. While for students afford to apply the lecture contents of the community lives, to interact with the community, to conceptualize and predict in the future. In the community opinion, this activity is expected to be implemented every year because residents of the community always change continuously.
